Privacy Policy
Last updated: [DATE]
Hyoh (“we”, “us”) helps you track the national parks you’ve visited around the world. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it. Questions: hello@hyoh.app.
What we collect
- Account information: your email address and, if you provide them, your name, bio, and profile photo.
- Your park activity: the parks you mark as visited, dates, notes, and any photos you add.
- Community content: photos, captions, and posts you choose to share to the community feed.
- Payment information: if you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details; Stripe handles them under their own privacy policy.
- Authentication: if you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive basic profile information (name, email) from that provider to create your account. We do not post to your social accounts or access your contacts.
- Technical data: basic usage and device information needed to operate and secure the app.
How we use it
- To provide the app: save your park progress, show your stats, and sync across your devices.
- To operate community features you opt into (sharing photos, leaderboards).
- To process subscriptions and provide customer support.
- To keep the service secure and improve it.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
- Service providers who help us run Hyoh: Supabase (database & authentication), Stripe (payments), and our hosting provider. They process data only to provide their service to us.
- Other users, but only for content you explicitly choose to post to the community feed.
- Legal reasons, if required by law.
Your choices and rights
- Access & update: edit your profile and data anytime in the app.
- Delete your account: open the account menu → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and associated data. (See “Data Deletion” below.)
- Community content: you can delete posts you’ve made.
Data Deletion
You can delete your Hyoh account and all associated data at any time:
- Open Hyoh and sign in.
- Open the account menu (top right).
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
This permanently deletes your profile, park visits, photos, notes, and community posts from our systems. If you signed up using Facebook or Google and need help, contact us at hello@hyoh.app and we will process your deletion request.
Children
Hyoh is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; we’ll post the new date above.
